GETTING TOGETHER

MEET UPS

Depending on weather and surf conditions, the UKBA Meet ups are organised regionally by any available member willing to go for a bodysurf with fellow members, getting in touch through the association Facebook Messenger Group. Nice and easy!

Catch up, play, progress, train harder, ... up to you! Just an opportunity to get together, to share a few waves, to cheer up and encourage each others, just for fun and not on your own.

Find us on Facebook and find out when/where is the next one!

CHAMPIONSHIPS

More than a competition, it is a great opportunity for all members to meet and share a passion.

The UK Bodysurfing Championships have been held at Fistral Beach, Newquay, organised jointly by the UK Bodysurfing Association and UK Pro Surf with additional support provided by Newquay BID.

It will likely feature two contests, for those with handboards and without, as well as a Ladies event.

  1. All UK competitors for the UK Bodysurfing Championships need to be current members of the UK Bodysurfing Association.

  2. Competitors intending to enter the handboards event will be allowed to use their own handboards.

  3. Rules and judging criteria could be viewed and downloaded below.

SPONSORSHIP

The UK Bodysurfing Championships: a partnership worth making!

We are in need of sponsors in order to be able to organise more events (meet ups, champs) and to get equipment for our members (helmets, banners, teeshirt and stickers)

  • We have had some of the best bodysurfers in the world come to compete at our event (including 6 times world Bodysurfing champion David Ford).

  • We strive for healthy, active, and desirable lifestyles for all bodysurfers, particularly for those here in the UK.

  • Our seas are our adventure grounds. As such, we take a responsibility of care for these extremely precious resources.

  • Our reach is local to regional, national and international. Our event will be included within a series of europeans bodysurfing events, taking part across western Europe and northern Africa.

  • We shall have fun along the way, forming friendships and increasing skill levels through local get togethers and taking part in overseas events.

  • In particular we will raise the profile of Bodysurfing both nationally and internationally.

We could offer back media coverage (facebook, website, local and regional papers, specialised magazines) and visual on banners and stickers.

Please get in touch if you're interested supporting us!
